Skills & Achievements in Career Guidance

I am an unusual mix of careers adviser, consultant, trainer and manager and I have a range of skills applicable to these areas.

By nature a ‘self-starter’, I have an ability and infectious enthusiasm for this kind of work. I have developed a range of expertise including, personal development profiling, training needs and job analysis, personality and aptitude assessment, the development of assessment tools, change/transition management, employability profiling, job search skills and redundancy counselling. I have also trained other practitioners in these skills and led on strategic approaches to change and transition management within large organisations.

I have been involved in the development of a number of career assessment tools and the writing of job search booklets for adults and young people some of which are selling world wide.

I turn peoples ‘lights on’ to possibilities and alternatives and support them to make successful transitions. My motivation is making a difference to peoples personal and work lives, enabling them to be happier, more successful, and effective
